Hello everyone!

Welcome to this 2nd episode of the 7th season of The Bordel de Mer!

This week again, I’ve recorded the episode in video. I didn’t know what I was getting into last week when I did the first episode in video, but I really liked it! I really thing that adding video to the show could be a great thing for the sea shanties community. Now, the artists will not only be heard, but viewed also! =)

I know that some groups and solo artists have produced music videos. If it’s your case, get in touch with me so that we can find a way for you to send me your videos. They must be in good quality (images and sound), since I’m recording the show in HD.

I can’t wait to see where this new adventure will take the show to! =)

In this episode, you will hear:

  • Y’a Quatre Marins (À virer – CD: Le Festival Du Chant De Marins – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
  • Dixie Land (The Johnson Girls – CD: On The Rocks – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
  • Orabajo (Banana Boat – CD: A morze tak, a moze nie… – Lyrics and Music: Wojtek Byrski)
  • Le Départ Pour Terre Neuve (Marée de Paradis – CD: Chants de marins en fête – Paimpol 99 – Anthologie des chansons de mer vol. 15 – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
  • Three Score And Ten (Liam Robinson – CD: Muddy Banks – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
  • Gwerz Ar Vezhinerien (La Bordée – CD: La Mer Est Immense – Lyrics and Music: Denez Abernot)
  • Le joli navire (Les Souillés De Fond De Cale – CD: Chants de marins d’hier et de toujours – Lyrics: Jean Richepin / Music: Gil Cueff)
  • Sloop John B (Before The Mast – CD: Hand Over Hand – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
  • Remar Remar (Strand Hugg – CD: Un port / Export – Lyrics and Music: Traditional)
